Since the news of implementing a shelter in the new commercial hotspot in Brooklyn’s 86st, it has sparked the community’s anger.

The neighborhood was completely left in the dark during the whole process; it also shows the disbelief towards the city government and the business community.

8th Ave mix-building

The long-delayed municipal building construction near 8th Avenue station had been passed to its third developer, amid concerns and opposition from the community board.

Driving school fraud scheme

wage theft protest

More than 100 home care workers gathered outside the New York State Department of Labor’s Brooklyn office, demanding the agency reopen its investigation into longstanding wage theft claims.

The protest follows a court ruling that invalidated the state’s decision to halt the probe, which centered on caregivers paid for only 13 hours of a 24-hour shift.

Sheepshead Bay protest

A proposed affordable housing project in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, was quietly converted into a transitional shelter without clear community notice.

Judge recently denied the developer’s motion to enter the site for construction, citing lack of transparency and community engagement.
