The Metropolitan Museum

Taiwanese Calligrapher Yang-Tze Tong presented her two paintings for commission for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Great Hall on Nov. 21, 2024.

“Stones from other mountains can refine our jade”(他山之石,可以攻玉) and “Go where it is right, stop when one must”(行於其所當行,止於其不得不止).

Tong opened the exhibition alongside with the curator Lesley Ma, the Associate Curator of Asian Art in the Department of Modern and Contemporary Art.
